{Summer Excitement}

There's 104 days of summer vacation
And school comes along just to end it
So the annual problem for our generation
Is finding a good way to spend it.....
We are complete Phineas and Ferb geeks at our house.

Anyways....
I am SO tired of the rain! In order to ignore it I have been concentrating on planning some fun activities for the summer. Summer always seems to get away from us and there are a million things left that we want to do.
I am super excited about the new swing set (play ground) that we just ordered for the boys. We pooled birthday, Christmas, tax money together and it is going to be awesome!
The poor Mister has been working like crazy while he's on spring break this week trying to get projects around the yard done so we're ready. Unfortunately it just came to a screeching halt because he needs to lay down a small retaining wall and the ground is so wet and muddy (did I mention it. won't. stop. raining!?) it's impossible to get it level.

Here's what's randomly popping into my head:
A summer reading list
Science experiments
Messy art
Nature exploring
Badges (I saw an idea for this somewhere, I will try to track that down. I've noticed lately how some of the mundane things in life....like tying shoes....has slipped by unnoticed. So I'm thinking about creating some cute badges to encourage these accomplishments).
Camping camping and more camping. Yes I actually do like to camp. We always plan on camping a lot and usually end up going once over the course of the summer. This year I'm upping the ante!

What do you have planned for the sunshine?
